Autobot India brings one of a kind 4-days Proficiency Improvement Programme (PIP) on ‘Electric Vehicle (EV) Design, Validation and Certification”, in association with Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
- The PIP was focused on the design improvement and its validation in the EV Development
- New developments will be done in the Power Train and Energy Storage Systems
ARAI-FID, Chakan, Pune, 9th OCT to 12th OCT 2018: Autobot India Pvt. Ltd. (ABI) is a solution provider company, pioneer in electric vehicle product development, training and development for educational institutes and corporate clients, automotive research and development, aerospace, defence and motorsports, has associated with Automotive Research Association of India(ARAI). ARAI is research associate of the automotive industry with Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprise, Government of India.
This program was jointly developed by Autobot India and ARAI India on EV Design, Testing and Validation for the Industry professionals, professors and students. As the Government of India is planning to implement new strict norms effective from the year 2020, the push towards the green vehicle is gaining momentum. With that in mind, more than 60 industry delegates, professors and students participated in this program. Industry and institutes like Daimler India, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motocorp, Bajaj Auto Limited, General Motors, TVS Motors, TATA Motors, Vishveshwarya Technical Campus & Institutions, Sangli Modern College of Engineering, Pune, etc. have participated in this program. As many of the above companies are setting up their own research facilities in India for hybrid and electric vehicle development, demand for the skilled manpower is on the rise. To tackle this, the programme was delivered by industries and subject experts. The subject experts and speakers from industry have shared their knowledge and expertise on Motor, Battery technology, Vehicle Testing and its Validation process.
The new motor technology “Axial Flux Motors” was one of the most discussed subjects in the program from the industry side where Autobot India has shown and demonstrated the Axial Flux stator, stamping and its lamination. With this new technology, we are trying to make EV more viable and accessible to the masses by decreasing the manufacturing cost.
The program saw a great response from the industry as well as the research fellows. The PIP was designed to deliver maximum information to the participants, which was delivered by the industry experts. The speakers were from different EV sectors and specialised in a particular component. Following are the speakers from the 4 – days PIP.
Mr Ramesh Lakra (Speaker – Motor Design and Selection) An EV expert with about 20 years of experience, is a dedicated motor designer and researcher of EV’s impact on ICE Battery technology and its military application and harnessing quantum & plasma energy. He is an experienced person in the field of electrical, motors and controller. He has also presented a technical paper on Battery and electric technology for future electric ships in-wheel AFM Technology. His electric vehicle-related contributions have been recognized by FICCI & ministry of Science and Technology in India. He has vast industry knowledge and endorsements in powertrain and other skills including production floor design of AFM in-wheel motor for EV’s and electric vehicle motor and generator design, he has got many commendations for his contributions in the field of EV and bringing about this innovation in the market.
Dr Rashi Gupta (Speaker – Battery Technology) is a serial entrepreneur and the pioneer in India for Advanced Lithium batteries and has developed and the “World’s Smartest Lithium Battery”. She is the founder Director of M/S Vision Mechatronics Pvt. Ltd., which is in the field of robotics, renewable energy and energy storage. She holds a degree of B.E., MBA, LLM and PhD to her title. She is a committee member with Bureau of Indian Standards, Working Group Member of International Electrotechnical Commission. She is also a member of National Energy Storage Committee- FICCI. Her contribution to the battery industry has been towards the development of efficient batteries and sustainable products.
Mr Shrivastavsa Sinha (Speaker – Axial Flux Motor) He is the founder and partner in Precision Punching Manufacture (PPM), Pune. He has developed a punching technology for the manufacturing of the Axial Flux motor. He has in-depth knowledge of axial flux motors. He also demonstrated the products of Axial Flux during the program.
The 4-day PIP was concluded by an assessment in which participation was mandatory for receiving the grading certification along with a certificate of participation.
Autobot India is working towards bringing awareness about new technologies and global trends in EV space from international to the domestic market for the industry, educators, working professionals to enhance their quality of information, develop their skills for the changing market trends and most importantly enhance productivity in their respective companies.
