Autobot India concludes the first phase of “Summer Boot Camp 2018” in G.L. Bajaj, Greater Noida where 30 participants successfully designed & manufactured 2 seaters, 4 wheeled, Electric Vehicle.
The training-workshop organized by Autobot India took place from 8th June 2018 to 4tJulyuy, 2018 at G L Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida.
On day 1 (June 8) Training orientation ceremony was organized and the program was attended by Chairperson Mr. Pankaj Dubey Director at Eicher Polaris & MD of Polaris India Pvt. Ltd, Dr. Rushen Chahal Founder of Hriman Motors LLP. Mr. Ashwini Tiwary Founder and CMO of Autobot India and Dr. V R Mishra Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering at G L Bajaj where they expressed their views on “the future of Electric Vehicle Industry, the manufacturing world prospects and its importance”. Everyone on and off the stage appreciated their kind thoughts and motivation to the young students. Their presence was inspirational for everyone in the seminar. Everyone has learned a lot from their professional experience, vision, and services.
The training was attended by 20 B.E./B.Tech/Diploma – Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, computer science, Industrial and Production Engineering students. They were having the passion for automobiles and electric vehicle and saving environment. The program was mainly for those participants who want to learn and need a comprehensive understanding of vehicle dynamics. After the completion of the workshop the trainers and participants had a chance to present the outcomes and recommendations from the training-workshop, they have discussed their experience, and they were happy to learn and understand the step by step design methodology of electric vehicles. they are now well aware of vehicle Dynamic, Design of vehicle using various design and analysis platform and they enjoyed the test ride.
The objective of the program was to offer customized or standalone training programs (on-site) to the students and young engineers to give the edge to their learning outcomes and value to the participants. This training program focus to enhance understanding of electric vehicle design and development with respect to various subsystems like chassis, suspension, steering, brakes, Electric Powertrain (Battery, motors, and controllers). To enhance the learning of Electric vehicle through practical demonstration, to discuss scope the of opportunities in electric vehicle segment.
We thank GL Bajaj team and the administration for supporting the trainers and participants in every situation. They provided the labs even for early morning and late night without any time restriction.
All the participants have worked very hard to give dynamic motion to assembled parts of the electric vehicle. This was the big challenge for trainers, participants along with Autobot India team. But finally, everyone enjoyed the test ride of the electric vehicle.
Outcomes of the Training-Workshop
After the completion of the program, participants learned and understand the development of electric vehicle and basic details of design and manufacturing. The student got the knowledge and exposure of modern day engineering design and analysis practices.
